Working at a DPR camp or aquatic facility is fun and rewarding. Our campers are children ranging from ages 3–17 from various backgrounds who live in the DC metropolitan area. We are seeking highly motivated and energetic people to spend four 2-week sessions at recreational or aquatic facilities. Employment includes 8 weeks of camp and one week of paid training. It is mandatory that you attend the entire training session. We offer a vast array of activities from reading time to environmental field trips, arts and crafts and cultural expression. In order to be eligible, you must be:

At least 15 years of age for Aquatics lifeguard positions

At least 16 years of age or older for day camp staff

At least 18 years of age or older for residential, daycare and maintenance staff positions

Able to commit to a ten-week schedule (includes paid training)

Able to pass comprehensive criminal background and driving record (motor vehicle operators only) checks.
Also, all DC Parks and Recreation positions are subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
