The National Park Service (NPS) Capitol Parks East division, notified our office that work on the sidewalk repairs at Lincoln Park, stalled recently due to contract modification issues, is progressing and is approximately 40 to 45 percent complete. The north and south walkways leading to the Emancipation Statue have been completed as are the curbs adjacent to those walks. In addition, the work on the steps east of the statue has been completed with the area from the steps to the statue itself expected to be completed within 2-3 days. The contract period has been extended and is now scheduled to end on February 18, 2008, continued good weather permitting.
