Hello neighbors. By now, many of you have received a flyer announcing this month’s special event for H Street NE Community Office Hours.  On tomorrow, Thursday, January 24, 2008, 8:00 – 9:30 am, Ward 6.  Councilmember Tommy Wells will host his next H Street Community Office Hours at SIDAMO Coffee and Tea, located at 417 H Street, NE

On the fourth Thursday of every month, Councilmember Wells and members of his staff will arrive at the an H Street NE location at 8:00 am to make the Council office more accessible to residents living in the H Street near the H Street NE and surrounding neighborhoods.

Representatives from his constituent services staff will also be on hand to help handle requests from residents. Councilmember Wells uses these events to spend time one-on-one with constituents to hear their concerns, issues and ideas and assign staff for follow-up to resolve problems.

Mr. Wells hosts similar Community Office Hours in SW on the Second Thursday of every month at the Channel Inn, 650 Water Street, SW, 20024.  In response to requests to hold similar events in the evening, Councilmember Wells will soon be announcing an evening event for each the SW and H Street NE Community Office hours respectively.
