What is an Eco-tour? Find out at the next "Chesapeake Watershed Eco-Tour Volunteer Meet up." Some define an EcoTour as a “trip” that minimizes the environmental footprint during those travels. EcoTours can be local biking, walking, and/or boat ride tours that highlight successful environmental projects in one of many municipalities (right now focusing on the Chesapeake Watershed). They can include service activities for participants (such as music, edu-tainment play, “eating green” food, clean transportation SAG vehicles and a Intergenerational Town Hall Meeting) and are designed to expand environmental awareness, inextricably linked to health and well being, and measure citizen’s habits and behaviors that affect the environment! The Wholeness for Humanity group is hosting ongoing Saturday meetings to gather, discuss, and plan community environmental programs that offer uplifting, practical and value-enhancing knowledge regarding health, environmental stewardship, social justice, and peace. "Meet-ups" are every Saturday morning at 12noon. For more information, visit: Chesapeake Watershed Eco-Tour Volunteer Meetup.
