Recently the District unveiled the DC Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC), a one-stop resource center for the elderly and persons with disabilities. The ARDC is located at 1134 11th Street NW, Third floor, just two blocks from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. DC ADRC is a program provided by the DC Office on Aging that is designed to provide resources that are available to the elderly, and the disabled. The serves include long-term care information; referral services, counseling services and access to publicly and privately financed services and benefits for those in need of long-term supports and their families. The ADRC serves the needs of the District’s elderly, age 60 and over as well as persons with disabilities age 18 and over. All ADRC offices are wheelchair accessible and you can reach the center by taking Metro bus to 11th & M Streets, NW or the Metro rail to the Mount Vernon Square – 7th Street Convention Center station.
