UPDATE [7/20/2009]:  WMATA has a website now (http://www.metrobus-benning-h-dc.com/index.htm) that has the survey available to take online and other links.

Granted, this isn't a picture of an X2 bus, but you get the idea... it's a bus.The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) in partnership with the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is conducting a study of the Metrobus Benning Road-H Street Line Study. The study is designed to identify and implement bus service improvements for Metrobus routes X1, X2, and X3.

WMATA and DDOT are hosting two public meetings to hear rider comments, questions, and suggestions about ways to improve transit service along the Benning Road-H Street corridor. Also, the project team will discuss the preliminary results of the rider survey that was distributed on the X1, X2, and X3 routes on June 25.

Public meeting dates, times, and locations:

Tuesday, July 14, 2009
6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Sherwood Recreation Center
640 10th Street, NE
Washington, DC 20002

Thursday, July 16, 2009
6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Marshall Heights Community Development Organization
3939 Benning Road, NE
Washington, DC 20019

The program for both meetings will consist of an open house from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm and a presentation and group exercise from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The meetings are open to the public, and no RSVP is necessary. The facilities are wheelchair accessible.

The feedback they receive at these meetings will help guide the study efforts to improve bus services for these routes.

Every bus is jam packed. The busses come every 20 minutes, rather than the 10 minutes on the schedule.
This really needs to be studied?

I agree with the previous commenter. These buses are full of unruly, foul-mouthed people who have no respect for anyone. I say that if this bus route cannot be improved, it should be eliminated totally!
