I first met Tommy Wells in Ward 6 at a March For Peace event to prevent gun violence on the streets of DC and get guns out of the hands of our youth. Since then, Tommy and I have developed a great relationship.
At the end of the day, all families want the same thing: to be able to live, work and raise a family regardless of geographic and socioeconomic background. Tommy's blueprint represents this vision for the DC.

Washington, D.C. – The D.C. Police Union, Fraternal Order of Police, Metropolitan Police Department Labor Committee has endorsed Council member Tommy Wells for Mayor of the District of Columbia.
The D.C. Police Union represents the more than 3,600 police officers, detectives, and sergeants of the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. The Executive Council of the D.C. Police Union voted unanimously to endorse Tommy Wells.

He is the one who is shoveling snow when nobody is watching or tenderly gardening out back. Coming in very late after a mentoring date or coming in very early after having roused in the middle of the night to comfort a family whose house suffered a fire in his ward.
